Official Partner of America Lawyers
America Lawyers is proud to count the International Bar Conference (CIB) amongst its official partners. An organisation which, for four decades, has brought together lawyers and bar associations from the French-speaking world.
Its objectives:
• To create a framework for cooperation between the bar associations of countries sharing a common legal tradition
• To uphold the ideal of independence, with democratically elected governing bodies
• To strengthen the rule of law within member countries and promote the rights of the defence
Its activities:
• Every year, its International Congress brings together lawyers from around the world to meet, receive training and discuss the major challenges facing the profession.
• Throughout the year, it also offers training programmes, both face-to-face and online, to enhance the skills of lawyers and member bar associations.
• The CIB also carries out monitoring and solidarity initiatives in support of lawyers facing difficulties or threats whilst practising their profession, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to the rights of the defence.
