The organisers reserve the right to amend the terms of these rules. Please consult all the entry conditions regularly on our website.

1. Team Registration

1.1. The tournament is open exclusively to teams of lawyers from European Bars and Law Societies.

1.2. Each team must include:

• 11-a-side football: 13 to 26 players
• 5-a-side football: 6 to 13 players

2. Eligibility of players

2.1. Team formation

All teams must be formed in accordance with the following provisions:
With the exception of the exceptions mentioned below in paragraph 2.2, players must be:

• Lawyers registered (or previously registered) with a bar association in the country of the team;
• Student lawyers or trainee lawyers, aged over 23 (born before 31/12/2001), with a limit of 2 per team for the Classic and Five tournaments.

2.2 Exemption principles

Exemptions may be granted to holders of a postgraduate legal or judicial qualification, and, more generally, permanent employees of law firms, provided that they do not exceed 3 players per team for 11-a-side tournaments and 2 players for 5-a-side tournaments. In this case, a list of lawyers and non-lawyers, together with a certificate from the law firm guaranteeing that the non-lawyers are permanent employees of the company.
These employees must be aged over 30 (born before 31/12/1994) in Classic & Five tournaments, over 35 years old in the Master tournament (born before 31/12/1989), over 45 years old in the Legend tournament (born before 31/12/1979).

2.3 Validation of exemptions

No exemption request for a non-lawyer playing or having played football for a professional or semi-professional club or for any other remunerated club will be accepted..
To be admissible, requests for exemption must be addressed to Mr Vincent Pinatel, lawyer and founder of Mundiavocat, no later than 45 days before the start of the tournament.
All the conditions set out above relating to derogations are imperative, but not sufficient to guarantee an exemption.
The final decision rests with the exemptions committee, made up of Mr Pinatel and Mr Pagnier (tournament director).

3. Team Composition

Classic

• Lawyers with no age limit and cases mentioned above

Master

• Lawyers who are over 35 (born before 31/12/1989)
  and cases mentioned above
• 5 lawyer players over 30 (born before 31/12/1994)

Legend

• Lawyers over 45 (born before 31/12/1979)
• 5 lawyers over 40 (born before 31/12/1984)

Five Women and Men

• Lawyers with no age limit and cases mentioned above
